File Type You must use "jpeg" images (ending in .jpg) for your profile. This is the best format for photographs on the Web. Digital cameras usually save in this format. Note for Macintosh Users: the file name must end in .jpg in order to be seen on the web. |
Naming Your Images Do not use spaces or punctuation in your image names, except for the dot before the extension (.jpg or .gif). If you use spaces or punctuation in your image names, the images may not display. Notice to MAC users: you must include the extension, and you cannot add anything after it. |
Cropping Most profiles look best with square images. You may want to crop your images to make them square, or remove less important areas. Cropping helps visitors focus on details you want to emphasize-- and may improve the overall look of your listing. |
Image Size Our system automatically scales your images to the correct size. If you have a very
large image file (over 1MB) you may wish to scale it down to upload faster. Please refer to any specific instructions in your profile selection. |
Image Resolution Always save your files on the Web at 72 dpi at “high” quality. Saving images at “very high” quality will not result in a noticeable difference but will cause your profile to display more slowly. |
Sharpening Your Images Sharpening photos should be the last step you take before you save and upload them to your profile. |

Helpful Hints: |
If a JPEG (.jpg) image is opened, edited and saved multiple times, the image will degrade. So minimize the number of editing sessions between the initial and final version of your JPEG images. |
